Legal and compliance software in India: the companies a buyer meets first
A map of who sells what to in-house teams, law firms and compliance heads, before any one of them is compared in depth.

Three buyers, three shelves. The products below are the ones a buyer in India meets first in each lane. Each will get its own comparison in In-depth.
Contracts for in-house teams
The lane is about drafting, reviewing and tracking agreements without a law firm on every one. SpotDraft is the Indian name most teams hear first. Juro and Ironclad are the global contract-lifecycle platforms. Luminance, Spellbook, Robin AI, Leya and LegalFly sell review and drafting on top of a language model. Harvey sells to large firms and legal departments. LexVio, a Delhi company registered in 2026, has announced a launch but not a product.
Practice management for law firms
Clio is the global reference point for matters, time and billing. In India, Provakil and Legistify sell case tracking and matter management to firms. CaseMine and Lexlegis.ai sell research. Manupatra and SCC Online are the research databases most Indian lawyers already pay for.
Compliance for operating companies
Sprinto and Scrut, both Indian, sell security and audit compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001) to software companies. Complinity, Lexcomply and TeamLease's Komrisk sell statutory compliance tracking across Indian labour, tax and corporate law. Vanta, Drata and Secureframe are the global names in the first group.
What is missing
No one has published a neutral, India-first comparison across these three shelves. That is what this section is for.
Disclosure: this site is run by the company behind Counsellit, a contracts and litigation product, and Regulatt, a compliance product. Both will be compared here under the same method as everyone else.
